The pedagogical collection of the University of Madeira is an essential support tool to the curricular units of the 1st Cycle in Biology at UMa and to the Higher Technical Professional Course in Nature Guides. Course Units
Teaching and understanding the contribution of taxonomy to the study of biological diversity and to know how to apply it to basic concepts.
Introducing and identify the main groups of terrestrial invertebrates and vertebrates.
Providing understanding and knowledge of zoological concepts and terms, the main groups of animals and their evolutionary relationships, the adaptations of animals to the various ecosystems.
